Dr. Maedel is one of the most caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable vets I have ever met! She has been caring for my dogs, Yadi & Molina, since they were eight weeks old. When we brought Molina in with a swollen leg, she took the time to review the X-rays (no breaks thank goodness!), explain how to care for her at home & answer all our questions. She even called the next day to see how Molina was feeling. My pets will never go anywhere else!

When I noticed a growth on my dog Leo’s lip, I was referred to Dr. Maedel to have it removed. When we met her, Leo liked her right away, so I knew he would be in good hands. Leo’s surgery and healing went great! Dr. Maedel did a fantastic job. I’m so excited that she’s opening an office in St. Pete.

Took our adopted dog to Dr. Maedel and was nervous how he would be. We informed her of his past and before she examined him, spent time petting him and gaining his trust. Since then, our pup has no problem walking in with Dr. Maedel. The surgery he needed went super well and our pup has never been happier. Recommend Dr. Maedel for everything!

Dr. Maedel goes above and beyond for every pet she meets, whether that be with medical care or sheer love. She makes sure that your pets are taken care of completely, and most importantly, makes sure that they are comfortable (which is not easy for a lot of pets at the vet’s office.) She never hesitates to listen to your concerns and takes a scientific approach to diagnostics and treatment that allow her to successfully deal with even the most complex issues. You never have to worry when Dr. Maedel is caring for your pet – she is truly part of the family.

After the loss of our cat, Musa, it was difficult to imagine our family with another pet, much less a dog. I am a self-proclaimed cat person, but apparently my daughter inherited the dog gene from her father. Then we met Leeloo – the Supreme Being – a Golden Doodle with such an amazing personality it was difficult not to want a dog just like her. We will always be grateful to you and Leeloo for introducing us to our Bella. But more importantly, you allowed us to learn what we needed to care for and raise a dog. While we have had a number of different veterinarians for our pets through the years, we hadn’t experienced such hands-on care. You take the time to learn all you can about not only your animal patients, but their humans as well. I am always in awe of your diagnostic capability, and further, your determination to find out the roots causes of an illness or issue. We are so happy you have stepped out and opened your own clinic. We have known Dr. Maedel for almost 3 years now. She has always given the best advice when it comes to medications, monthly treatments, and nutrition. She quickly diagnosed our Great Dane with a CCL tear and directed us to a surgeon who then took care of his injury. It is very obvious that she has a huge passion in animal care. I couldn’t imagine her in any other profession.
